Jay Minnick brings over 25 years experience in the multi-family apartment industry to his responsibilities CEO and President. Jay’s energetic leadership style embraces variety of disciplines including finance, development, construction, management, and marketing.
Jay consistently demonstrates his passion for providing quality housing to the people of Utah having led the production and development of thousands of multi-family units throughout the state. Jay also specializes in rehabilitating older apartments. He has applied this skill to facilitating and delivering quality rehabilitation projects on time and within budget while building and motivating Miller and Millwood’s team of specialists.
While serving as President and CEO of Miller Development Company , Jay has overseen the financing, development, and construction of the following projects: Coppergate, Haven Pointe, Parkgate, Foxboro Apartments Phase 1 in North Salt Lake Citiy (180 Units, $10 Million), Monarch Meadows Apartments in Riverton (248 units, $15 Million), Townegate Apartments in Salt Lake City (288 units, $17 Million), Foxboro Apartments Phase 2 in North Salt Lake City (60 units, $4 Million), Frontgate Apartments in Murray City (128 units, $9 Million), Egate Apartments in West Valley City (304 units, $19 Million), Farm Gate Apartments in Herriman City (496 Units, $31 Million), and Timbergate Apartments in Herriman City (288 Units, $19 Million). Jay’s other responsibilities include overseeing the construction of new developments. As President and CEO of Millwood Companies Jay has overseen the management of 3,000 apartments. Jay has also been responsible for the disposition of Southgate, Woodgate and Oakhurst projects all built by Miller.
Known for his enthusiastic and engaging leadership style, Jay is a past President and Chair of the Board of Directors for the Utah Apartment Association. He holds a BA from the University of Utah and a Masters degree from the University of Phoenix. His greatest joy in life is his wife and three children. He loves motocross, water and snow skiing with his kids.
