Adam Soffe is the Vice President / Construction of Miller Development Company and Miller Construction Enterprises, two companies that are leading, Salt Lake City-based, full-service building and development companies. Adam graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, and a Business Minor. Adam’s areas of responsibility and expertise include pre-development estimating/ budgeting, architectural plan review, bidding, scheduling, subcontractor negotiation and contracting, and executive level construction management of each project under construction.
Previous to full-time employment with Miller Development Company in January of 2007, Adam played a major construction role for 12 years with PMI Construction, Triumph Homes and ASWN Architecture. These three related entities combined to both design, and build many single-family, multi-family, and commercial construction projects in the Salt Lake Valley, including the design of the majority of the Miller Development apartment projects. Projects for which Adam had the primary construction managers role included: Spring Hollow at Bateman Farms ($8 Million), the Murray Recreation Center ($11 Million), The Soffe Mortuary ($2.5 Million), The Riverton Fire Station ($6 Million), The Foxboro Apartments Phase 1 (180 Units, $10 Million)*, The Reproductive Care Center ($3 Million), and The Draper City Hall & Courts Facility ($7 Million). Adam’s wide variety of experience on single family, commercial and multi-family projects, and his participation and coordination with design and architecture at ASWN have combined to make Adam a tremendous asset.
Adam’s total time working at Miller Development has been over 6 years. His first experience with Miller Development Company was the construction of the Foxboro Apartments (Phase1) in 2003.
While employed full-time with Miller Development Company, Adam has had a central role in managing the construction completion and delivery of the following projects: Foxboro Apartments Phase 1 in North Salt Lake Citiy (180 Units, $10 Million), Monarch Meadows Apartments in Riverton (248 units, $15 Million), Townegate Apartments in Salt Lake City (288 units, $17 Million), Foxboro Apartments Phase 2 in North Salt Lake City (60 units, $4 Million), Frontgate Apartments in Murray City (128 units, $9 Million), Egate Apartments in West Valley City (304 units, $19 Million), Farm Gate Apartments in Herriman City (496 Units, $31 Million), and Timbergate Apartments in Herriman City (288 Units, $19 Million).
Specific duties for which Adam has sole responsbility for during the development and construction of these projects include the following: Plan Review, Value Engineering, Cost Estimating, Quantity Take-Off, Budgeting, Bidding, Scheduling, Contract Negotiating, Job Cost Tracking, Project Managing, Hiring-Training-Developing Superintendents, Change Order Negotiaion and Tracking, Working with Bank, HUD and Municipal Authorities, Construction Bank Draws, Subcontractor Payment Approval, Subcontractor Conflict Resolution, and Quality Control.
In addition to Adam’s professional achievements, Adam and his wife Laura are the busy parents of four children and enjoy spending time as a family, and serving in their church.
